MOBOTIX M1 Intro and Update

Now, of course, there’s something to learn about the M1… and that’s the new naming convention. Instead of calling it the M28 (which it would be), they decided to start a new legacy by calling it the M1. The actual camera name is MxONE-M1S. While the letter (here M) still stands for the housing type, and the number (here 1) represents the generation, the last letter is new: S stands for Single, and D stands for Dual. To understand it better, let’s look at the next possible models to come out:
- M1D - will be the M18, M housing with 2 sensors
- S1D - will be the new S18, S housing with 2 sensors (this one will have the same housing as the old S16! Great move!)
Now you can upgrade and replace your old series cameras one on one without any drilling!
Another great move is that all old drilling patterns will fit since the M1 series will be going back to the old camera mounts we've known and loved since the older generations of cameras, e.g. M14 through M126.
Now there's one thing:
